Do I have a chance of getting in these universities? Pharmacy school?
I’m a senior in high school, african american, 3.7 GPA, in AP Calculus, taken Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I want to apply for USC Columbia for undergrad pre- pharmacy to explore the field. It looks interesting because my mom is is pharmacy tech soon going to pharmacy school. But i am confused on what i want to do. I was also interested in computer science. That’s why i’m not trying to get in a 6 year program right after high school. I also want to apply for NC State and FSU but they don’t have pharmacy schools. I am also looking at UGA. Do i have a chance in getting accepted into these universities?
Yes… But remember one thing. Do not go passively into what you are doing or seeking. I ask you this. Did you ever contemplate actually visiting the schools for which you bear an interest as regards Pharmacy, and request information interviews?
Do not rely so heavily, as do many students — I should even say, most students — on allowing the “systems” to work for you. Today this can be found to be too passive.
Own it. Make it happen. Be enterprising. Your resume thus far is pronounce; however, there are thousands of others just like you; and so you are best where you endeavor to be bold and enterprising.
